I have said a few times over the past year that my life seems to have been a blurr-- Sometimes it goes so fast that I feel like I miss it. This past month has especially felt that way. I get so wrapped up in what I am doing and what I am trying to learn that I forget to slow down and take a look around.
Today after a long day of work I decided that it was time to check out for a bit, and stop to smell the ocean breeze. It was a beautiful 74 degrees, without a cloud in the sky. I do know that days like this won't last-- being as we are about to go in to San Francisco winter--- so I scooped up my favorite 7 year old (my dear friend Sarahs daughter) and went to the beach to make sand castles.
There is something to be said about reverting back to childhood, and the simple joys of children... sand castle building was AMAZING and extremely therapeutic. The ocean breeze, the waves crashing on the beach, and the laughter of innocence. I feel like a new woman!!!! I highly recommend days like this!!
