Credit Card Free!!!

I officially made my last payment on my last credit card today... I then put the card in to a bowl of water and put it in the freezer. EMERGENCIES ONLY.

At the beginning of this year I began to receive notices from my credit card companies stating that the interest rate will begin to fluxuate. And flux they did. I went from having an 11.7% interest rate to 29.9%.. my eyes just about bugged out of my head.. 29.9%? Are you kidding?? That was the end for me. No benefits are worth payng 30% interest--- Credit card companies are preying on the those who are actually paying their bills in order to regain lost revenue from people who have stopped! I do feel bad for those who are struggling to make it-- nothing could be worse... but I REFUSE to give credit card companies more money to make up for it.

And with that, I am now credit card free!!
