Its that time again!! How did this year squeak past me? Some days it felt like it was going to go forever, and some days I couldn't even blink!!!
January was a quiet month, with preparations for the new store openings for 2009. I can't say that anything in particular sticks out in my mind that happened in January--- and like most I like to forget this month anyway LOL
February: My sister came to play for 5 days and it was AWESOME. We visited all of the haunted sights and basically scared each other!!
Also in February, I flew in last minute to set up the new Murray, Utah Nordstrom, which was REALLY nice to be home for those few days :) especially since we hadn't planned on sending me. It was a VERY nice surprise to find out four hours before I was to go LOL the clothes were flying in to the suit case... I also visited Phoenix Arizona with their grand opening of Macy's San Tan Village. They had Cafe Rio there-- I was in Heaven!!
March: was more of the same-- a Los Angeles opening--And acceptance of a NEW JOB as a Brand Specialist/ Account Executive for the Wholesale division.
April: I flew to Boston to train for a week-- visited my good friend Sparks from my Oakcrest Days. Made a new friend, Amanda--- visited Salem Mass. and the sight of the Salem Witch trials-- and while there had a psychic reading. I mean, its mandatory, right? We'll see if anything comes of it! :)
May: I started to get to know my territory-- and discovered that one of my stores was in an AWESOME location-- Pismo Beach!! (Actually San Luis Obispo, but my fav. hotel is in Pismo Beach!!) I now know why Bugs Bunny was always trying to get there! It is gorgeous!!
June: More of the same--- spreading the mineral fabulous to the masses. Liz came to stay with me for a few weeks! I was fun to have her here and to play tourist!! We hit all of the great restaurants in San Francisco and went to several movies--and basically had a GREAT time!
July: Helped prepare for the National Sales Meeting... had a great time doing it too-- this time I got to do the fun stuff like address envelopes and shop for treats!!
August: Vacationed in SLC and Cedar City. Went fishing with my dad...shopping with my mom... played a lot with my nieces. I also adopted Franklin on August 1!!! My life has changed forever!
September: Leslie PA in Thousand Oaks CA. Many events in Sacramento--- My Aunt, cousins and Grandma came to visit for an extended weekend, and we got to see WICKED! SO fun!
October: Fleetweek with my mom and step dad--although we didn't really get to see the Blue Angels fly due to weather. We drove to Monterey and had lunch and watched the sea lions. My best friend Liz also came back to visit and we drove to Santa Barbara and back up to San Luis Obispo.
November: My partner in crime Lindsay transfered in to Boutiques, so I inherited her territory. In November I had 5 National events in Sacramento-- and also got to fly FIRST CLASS to Honolulu to visit the stores there.
December was filled with many hours of work and holiday maddness. I don't really even remember much of it-- that is until I came home for Christmas to find out I needed a root canal--which pretty much destroyed my whole vacation. But the holidays were nice, my family and freinds were good company and I can't complain.
So while many would say 2009 was the worst year so far-- I have to say it was okay-- pretty good in fact. Except for the whole root canal part.
