Welcome to the Christmas edition of getting to know your friends. I got this from my friend Melissas blog and thought it would be fun to steal it!! . Copy it if you wish...
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper and REAL ribbon! No plastic! (unless I am desperate!)
2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial. Ireally do prefer the smell of a real tree, and of course the character of a real tree... but its just not practical. Especially this year. I don't have to worry about my apartment burning down.
3. When do you put up the tree? December 1
4. Do you like eggnog? Love it! "Snowman Milk" as Preston used to call it.
5. Favorite gift received as a child? I had so many wonderful Christmases. The year my sister and I got Cabbage Patch Preemies was a good one.... and the My Little Pony stable. My parents always did such a good job keeping the magic in Christmas. My mom STILL does. I LOVE Christmas for this reason.
6. Hardest person to buy for? I always try to be thoughtful in the gifts I give. None are ever easy.
7. Easiest person to buy for? See above.
8. Do you have a nativity scene? No. I used to love the one we had as a child. And I still remember my Grandmas scene. I would like to find one that I really loved.
9. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail. There is something to be said about a hand written card, that you took the time to put a stamp on. I am always so happy when some one thinks enough of me to send me a card!!
10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Never had a worst. I am always gratful that people even think of me!
11. Favorite Christmas Movie? A Christmas Story... a cult classic! I have the whole thing memorized and the jokes are STILL funny...even when I watch is 100 times a year.
12. When do you start shopping for Christmas? January 1. I shop all year.
13. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Only a couple of times... and usually the gifts that people buy and "Stash" for those who give them something that they weren't counting on getting something from. Usually its the bath and body products from KMart LOL
14. Favorite thing to eat at lunch on Christmas? My moms 7 layer dip. We look forward to it every year!!
15. Lights on the tree? Yes!! usually just white lights, but this year I have colored.
16. Favorite Christmas song? O Holy Night.
17. Travel at Christmas or stay home? I will be going home for Christmas! YAY
18. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Yes, and for years I thought it was odd that Vixen was a boy reindeer... until I looked it up. The females have antlers too. Phew. Good to know that Santa is not sexist
19. Angel on the tree top or a star? Star.
20. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Always new jammies on Christmas Eve. Presents on Christmas Day.
21. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Rude people. So easy to forget what this time of year means.
22. Favorite ornament theme or color? Anything that sparkles.
23. Favorite for Christmas dinner? Anything my mom and uncle Bill put together. its always GOOD!
24. What do you want for Christmas this year? Would love to be debt free.... I am going to make that my New Years resolution... to get all of my debt paid.

We sat down and watched the Christmas Story with the boys. I wondered if they'd be able to stay with it, but stay with it they did. They were glued to the set. . . and LOVED it. They are still talking about it. In other words, good choice of a favorite Christmas movie :)
