North American Traveler--WHAT A WEEK!!

Boy, have I had an exhausting week!! I left for Anchorage, Alaska last Friday at 6:00 a.m. to work a 2 day event in Nordstrom which was a BLAST!! Anchorage loves BE and we love Anchorage!! I then took a red eye out early Monday morning.(after working all day Sunday)...which to put it nicely...was the worst flight of my life!! The person behind me was extremely intoxicated and was a VERY mean drunk!! She even went as far as to pull my hair and call me to fight her (really? really?) when I reclined my chair trying to fall asleep. The flight attendants almost had the plane diverted...which would have thrown off over 100 people from their connections, not to mention the legal implications that I would have to be involved in. I simply was not willing to do that. So--I sat quietly in my chair...not sitting back...and hoped that the drunk lady would soon fall asleep and stop screaming obscenities.

I made a connection in Salt Lake City before going on to San Francisco. The flight was delayed due to SF fog, and so I fell asleep at the gate waiting...and almost missed my flight!!!! The gate agent finally noticed me slumped over in my chair. And woke me up enough to get me on the plane. By this time I had been awake over 28 hours. I finally got in to San Francisco at about 11:00 a.m. and went straight to sleep for about 4.5 hours.

I then had to wake up so that I could prepare for my trip to Virginia for our Tysons Corner set up. I packed my bags, went to sleep for about 3 more hours and then caught my shuttle to the airport fat 3:30 a.m. for my 6:00 a.m. flight

For those of you who have been to the Washington DC/Virginia area, you know what a trip that can be!! I did rent a car with GPS (Shirley as we call her---because "surely" she will get us there!!) but it seems that DC and Virginia confuses Shirley because by the time I felt like I was getting somewhere, she would recalculate, and send me off in to a different direction! It took me 2 hours to go the 17 miles from the airport!!

From Tuesday to Friday I was in Virginia setting up our biggest Nordstrom install yet at the Tysons Corner mall. It is BEAUTIFUL. Because it was our largest install, it also took a lot more work than predicted to get it set up...and this time, I only had one person to help me. I must have been really pushing myself to get it completed because in the process I managed to miss the step off a ladder, slip and come crashing down just hard enough to brake one of my back molars in half, chip another and possibly fracture my jaw bone--- exposing one of the nerves. *sigh* Don't worry---I did it with grace and class as only *I* can do.

Friday morning (after it taking me 1.5 hours to go 17 miles---Thank you again, Shirley) I caught a flight home to Salt Lake City so that I could go to the BYU-UNLV football game with Greg :) It was a close one, but---we WON hooray!!!

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the rest of this weekend is uneventful and calm until I can get back in to the dentist on Monday morning.

If it wasn't a crazy life, it wouldn't be MY life!
